Staff successes:
- Staff engagement scores lifted from 73 (2018) to 81 (2021).
- Employee turnover reduced from 23.6% (2018) to 14% (2021).
Foundation growth:
- 10.5% YOY growth of new State Committee members
- 40% of Committee members were new grant assessors in the last year
- 60% of all 2021 applications had an ANZ Sponsor indicating employees were actively encouraging charities to apply.
- 176% YOY increase of people accessing announcement of 2021 grant winners in September
- 183% YOY increase in people accessing February 2022 grant round opening announcement

Established in 1835, ANZ is among the top four Australian banks and top 50 in the world. ANZ operates in more than 30 markets with a purpose to shape thriving communities through the priorities of financial wellbeing, environmental sustainability, and housing.
ANZ currently operates four employee-led community grant programs:
- The ANZ Community Foundation is 100% managed by ANZ volunteers – National Advisory Board and State Committees. Since inception in 1988, more than 900 grants valued at more than $6 million have been distributed to support community projects across Australia.
- ANZ double-matches employee donations up to $5000 to encourage employees to donate to and participate in the Foundation.
- The ANZ New Zealand Staff Foundation has distributed more than 1,300 local community grants valued at more than NZ$7.5 million since it began in 2000.
- The ANZ Fiji Staff Foundation has distributed 145 community grants valued at more than FJ$945,700 since it began in 2006.
- ANZ Seeds of Renewal (administered by FRRR) provides grants of up to $15,000 to help build vibrant and sustainable communities in regional Australia. Employees involved in the last financial year decided to distribute $250,000 in community grants across 23 projects.
- Since 2003, the Seeds of Renewal program has provided more than $5.3 million to more than 880 community projects across Australia.
